HISTORY - Maryland Airport Managers Association
The Maryland Airport Managers Association, Inc. (MAMA) was established in September 1996. It is the first organization of its type in the State. The purpose of the Association is to provide a medium for the exchange of ideas related to airport management, to encourage legislation advantageous to airports, and to work with the Maryland Aviation Administration (MAA), as well as other aviation organizations, to address and resolve airport issues. In 1999, the Association was incorporated as a non-profit organization.

The Maryland Airport Managers Association is committed to promoting the interests and recognition of Maryland airports and the aviation community. In pursuit of this mission, the Maryland Airports Managers Association endeavors to:
▪ Provide a unified voice on issues of interest to Maryland airports and local aviation communities.
▪ Promote the economic value of aviation locally, regionally and nationally.
▪ Act as a bridge between the community and regional / local regulatory and enforcement agencies.
▪ Promote networking and interaction amongst its members.
